I arrived in Georgia yesterday, and have already found my new favourite food. This delightful local delicacy is called Churchkhela (ჩურჩხელა in Georgian) and is made by threading almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, chocolate, or sometimes raisins onto a string, dipping them in thickened grape (or other fruit) juice and drying them in the shape of a sausage. Easy to say, easy to eat, widely available – 10/10.
